van Veghel (Co-Producer)
Joel is pleased to be producing with the Borelian's
again this season. His past credits with them include: The
Miracle Worker and Dracula.
Carey
Nicholson (Co-Producer,
Director)
Alice is Carey's 5th production as director
and 10th as producer. Outside of community theatre, Carey
pursues a career as a gallery owner, fibre artist and arts
educator.
Kevin
Drennan (Musical
Director, Vocal Coach)
Kevin is in grade 12 and president of the Music
Council at Port Perry High School. He is pursuing his ARCT
diploma in Piano Performance from the Royal Conservatory of
Music in Toronto.

Nicholson (Costumes)
Sheila has been involved with community theatre
for the past 10 years. A professional quilter, Sheila has
been a member of several ACT-CO Thea award winning and nominated
costume teams.
Christy
Chase (Assistant
Stage Manager)
A local newspaper editor, Christy was badly
bitten by the theatre bug while writing a series about the
Borelians last season. She's back for more backstage adventures
with Alice.
Nancy
Melcher (Stage
Manager)
Nancy enthusiastically works miracles backstage
for Borelians, earning a 2007 THEA nomination. Intrigued by
shiny things, she’s appeared onstage as pirate, cop
and MOM. See her in “AhMen” in 2008.
Annette
Stokes-Harris (Assistant
Director)
Annette
Stokes Harris is pleased to participate in this kaleidoscope
of colourful characters. She was Artistic Director for Act
One Theatre Company in Toronto for six years.
Patrick
Cobitz (Spotlight
Operator )
Patrick
Cobitz is a grade 10 student at Paul Dwyer High School. He
loves skateboarding and playing the drums. Some day soon he
plans to be a lighting/pyrotechnical expert.

Marisa loves being a Borelian! This past year
she played a blind student in “The Miracle Worker”
She is very excited to be the Alice understudy.

Shelby is overjoyed to be appearing as Alice
in her first play with the Borelians. Shelby was also in Anne
of Green Gables (Anne), Oliver, and Annie Warbucks (Tessie)
at OLT.

Breanne Twining enjoys dashing through scenes
at random, then retiring backstage to antagonize the March
Hare about her superior ears. She will be performing in Urinetown

Shane is 13 years old in Grade 8. He loves singing
and acting, and played "Scott" in Dear Edwina. He
would like to remind everyone: "Keep an eye on your tarts!"

Stowell-Smith (Train
Guard)
Ken, an 18 year resident of Scugog Island, married
to Brenda for 25 years, has three children. This is his first
Borelians production after being in two musicals with the
SCS.
Trish
Blackburn (Queen
of Hearts)
Trish studied Theatre at Ryerson many moons
ago and is happy to be back acting (especially with her daughter).
She is having a riot being "The Queen of Hearts"!

New Borelian Laurinda enjoys creating through
writing, acting, and graphics. This Brooklin Town Crier columnist
loves to get into costume and never hits her own children
while singing them lullabies.

Linscott (White
Knight, Sound Design and Operation)
Alice is the first time Howard has serenaded
with voice and guitar and worked with animals of all ages
and species. Some of his best friends are horses; honest,
really.
Marg
Partington (White
Queen)
Marg Partington , aka Princess Mary Margaret,
is returning to the Borelians stage after a 10 year sabbatical,
and has enjoyed working with such a talented cast and crew.
Cait
Thompson (Red
Queen)
Cait is a first time Borelian whose previous
roles have included “Naomi” in Naomi in the Living
Room, and most prestigiously “Leper #3” in Jesus
Christ Superstar.

Brenda an 18 year resident of Scugog Island,

This is Tomas' first Borelians production. He
has performed with the Oshawa Little Theatre, (Anne of Green
Gables, Oliver!, Annie Warbucks), and will be in their upcoming
musical, Just So.

Olivia Paty is 13 years old, she has been a
member of Oshawa Little Theatre Youth Group for 4 years, and
this will be her second performance with the Borelians.
Stephanie
Forcier (Tweedledee)
Stephanie is currently in grade 8 at Msgr. Leo
Cleary School in Courtice. She enjoys volleyball, reading,
singing and travelling. She would like to thank her family
for their support.

This is Victoria's first play with the Borelians
and she’s excited to be playing the Dormouse. She has
been with the Oshawa Little Theatre Youth Group for the past
4 years.

2007 Sears Drama Festival finalist Elisabeth
is actively involved in drama on and off stage. She energetically
acts, leads tech crew at school and has directed two children’s
drama productions.

Brenna’s first stage appearance was in
2000, in SCS’s The King and I. Since then she has performed
in many shows in Uxbridge, Scarborough and Port Perry.

Harris (The

Emily Harris is passionate about music, swimming
and cats! She would like to thank her Directors and S.M. for
their patience. "Alice" has been a meaningful journey
into a world of organized nonsense.
Valerie

Val is a grade 10 student at Port Perry High
School. Previously appeared in two musicals this is her first
Borelians production. Val enjoys playing the flute and singing.

first introduction to acting was playing Brigitta in Cadenza's
production of The Sound of Music and there is no stopping

Williamson (Eaglet/Mutton)
First on stage in 2002, Michael was recently
seen as Young Jimmie in The Miracle Worker and he now appears
in Alice as the impertinent Eaglet and Mutton.
Eliza
Brown (Mouse

Eliza received an ACT-CO nomination as "Best
Newcomer" last year for her role as Helen Keller in "The
Miracle Worker". She's proud to be in "Alice in
Wonderland".
Amanda

This is Amanda’s first production with
Borelians. It’s her fourth year with the Oshawa Little
Theatre Youth Group. She is also part of the Eastdale Theatre
Company show Footloose.
